Assad Waathiq

Assad Waathiq is Business Engineer at /prznt, where the work is strategy, systems architecture, and engineering for small and mid-sized owner-operator businesses. Before /prznt, he spent 23 years in finance and business development, from Morgan Stanley to Citigroup to JPMorgan. He built and ran business development teams, managed nine-figure portfolios, sold to founders and C-suites across the middle market, and directed the #1 emerging technologies practice at BDO USA, leading a team of 350. He has been a registered FINRA representative, and his professional history is available through FINRA BrokerCheck. Assad was a venture advisor and limited partner at Necessary Ventures, was Vice Chair of the Oakland Fund for Public Innovation, and was on the Board Council at Yosemite National Parks Conservancy. Before his professional career, he was a Junior Olympic bronze medalist in baseball and a varsity baseball player at Cornell University, where he was enrolled for four years in the School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics.
